What is the Account Form?

An accounting form is the presentation of accounting data in a two-column format. The term accounting form is mostly used for balance sheets. In the two-column accounting form, the first column is referred to assets and the second column is liabilities. This accounting form tries to match the accounting equation.

There is also other types of accounting form which as report format. In the report format of accounting form first column is used for description and the next column is used for money. The balance of the money column is transferred to the next column.
